Kindermusik Inspirational Educator of the Year

At the 2006 Kindermusik Convention in Greensboro, North Carolina, Helen Peterson recieved the first "Inspirational Educator of the Year" award. Each year, Kindermusik employee owners based in Greensboro, NC will select one educator each year that breathes and lives the mission of Kindermusik: to change the world, one child at a time, through music. For her volunteer and outreach work with children in low-income, high crime areas; her growing program for children of all abilities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul suburbs; her willingness to embrace new technology; her teachability and participation in providing learning opportunties for other Educators; plus her unique penchant for unusual hats, sneakers, and twirly skirts.
