I've said it before and I have to say it again, John Lennon wrote an excellent song in Working Class Hero but Marianne Faithful, along with her musicians have created a far superior version, I feel that John Lennon would agree with me on this one, don't get me wrong, I love the Lennon version, I just happen to like this version a whole lot more.

Couldn't agree with you more. The lyrical genius of Lennon but with the frustrated/desperate tones of Marianne Faithful.

Lennon is pure, the original but i listen to this version more often, it's more dramatic to me

Man... i'm incredibly sorry to say that i have NEVER heard Marianne faithfull before (sorry guys :P) and all i expected from this was another teenage wannabe voice, but man when she started singing...!!!! all that feeling... amazing... thank you scwack for uploading this!
