Im English and am proud but i have learnt Gaelic on my own its not about being forced to learn English its learning Gaelic and pissing of anyone who tells you to speak English.

I'm Italian and I love this. I really should have Irish or Scottish. I love Celtic culture and the music. Its my favorite. I went to Dublin for a week during the summer. I am going back to Ireland as soon as I can. I'd like to go to Scotland too.

The majority of the people form Northern Ireland, such as myself, don't like to be called British. We take it as an offense because we're proud of being Irish but feel the UK is trying to make us English. And because of them Gaelic is a fleeting language because everyone has to learn English, which I think is a load of God damn balls since I have to speak English since they never let me learn Irish. Ireland can refer to all of Ireland or just to the Republic, it depends on where you live.
